We hit the stage as the opening music hit. Lo and behold, in the first scene, we heard and unusual sound – laughter. The audience ate up Zoe as Inez. Zoe was absolutely perfect today – dead on! Anyhow, the fact that I (as Herman) got laughs laughing at Chris (as Horace) was beautiful. I certainly allowed myself to have some fun. I also had fun coming back on later in the show as Tom – which got a laugh from Todd Peters (at least) upon first sight. The bit between Chris and myself at the end of the show really worked well today, too… and got a great deal of applause.

Later, I caught the other cast of The Dancers. They were very different. So much so that I couldn’t believe they had the same director – I wouldn’t have really known if the blocking hadn’t been the same. Luckily, the other guy playing Tom didn’t use my wallet bit, which I was quite proud of – and would’ve been upset with James if he had shared it with them. Anyhow, just seeing how different the two casts were calmed my nerves, as I’m sure that we couldn’t be compared. Even if we were, and at the risk of sounding like an ass, we were better.

- Yesterday, I was nervous as hell because I saw Jackie Solotar in the MM after Far Country, and she didn’t look very happy. Not only did she have the same look on her face for the shows today, but I got a chance to say hi to her outside the school. She seemed to be happy… even winking at me. Everything is quite optimistic.
- The recent graduate who works on the 6th floor (who gave me my second tour of the Academy) called me Dr. Freud today… with no hint of sarcasm in his voice.
- I saw Todd Peters after the second cast of Cinders today. He congratulated Derek on his performance today, and me for my performance as Freud yesterday. Score.
