Comedy Series 7 : Mission to Moscow
Today was a surprisingly bland rehearsal day.
It started at around 1:40, when I searched the school for the Hound rehearsal that had been going on since 1. I found them, in the dark, in room 45… reading through the lines. We read through the play for the next 10 minutes, with the only exceptional note being that I am officially off-book for the first scene.
After we adjourned, I headed upstairs for Once A Catholic rehearsal. Nothing much of note here. Kyle S. Beaver’s scene gets better every time, and that’s hard — considering that he was amazing when he started. I found it quite amazing that Pam said I did well today — I was feeling quite sluggish (I blame it on the weather) and just kind of gave up on the concept of acting altogether. I felt as if I just stood there and recited the lines, and I still received praise. Allrighty, then!
I was a bit late to Inspector Hound rehearsal, but I soon found out that it didn’t matter. Although we had through my first scene blocked as of yesterday — we started at the top today and cleaned everything up (sometimes line-by-line). As a result, the beginning of the show is a hell of a lot funnier, and much closer to what the final product will be, but I didn’t even get to do anything today. Cary, Criss, and I never got up on stage once, which is unfortunate, seeing as we were in the MM today.
Joel’s damn funny, though. And the stuff between G and Adam has a whole new dimension to it. I just can’t wait to get on my feet — er, rather, my chair — though.
