Has Starbucks gone bananas?

75 cents for a banana at the register… that’s just unbelievable.

Worse than that are the people who continue to pay it. I urge everyone to send the company a message that they’re being ridiculous, and outlandish prices such as these for a banana.

It’s craziness… and this is coming from a guy who worked there for a year and thought that, for the most part, their prices were pretty fair.

Friends, Family 1:46 pm

I just figured I’d post on something that my brother wrote in his journal. Here, from his LJ:

Yeah so anyway I love the city. Its so fun especially with me and my brother. I can be myself in the city and no one gives a shit or looks at me wierd because down there its natural to act like a freak with 18 heads. Also in the city on a rainy day the sky will turn yellow and people will poke you with umbrellas at just about eye level. I also saw a guy giving out tickets for some comedy club thing and it came to a cross walk and the hold sign was there telling us not to walk and the guy said really loudly “Everyone stop being the biggest TOOL and take one.” Oh man the city is full of wonders. and so is Time Square Toys R us
Make your own tickle me elmo, what could be better.

I just wanted to say that I had a hell of a good time that day. Craig, if you’re reading this, you’ve got to get your ass back into the city one of these days. I’m telling you — hot dog marathon!

Good times, good times.

If you guys don’t know of a comedian named Brian Regan, I sincerely suggest that you check out his website at BrianRegan.com. I first heard of Brian Regan as part of the Opie & Anthony radio show on 102.7 FM, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have a copy of his CD, “Brian Regan Live!”, and I can honestly say that there were points where I was laughing so hard it hurts.

Movies 1:05 am

I saw the 7:05 showing of Star Wars at the Loews on 34th Street today (finally!).

You have no idea how bad I felt that it’s taken me over a week since the film’s release to finally see it — so I made it a goal to see it today. I ran into Cate Olson at school, and told her of my intent to go, so she decided to accompany me… which is a good thing, because I don’t think you can feel more dorky than watching a Star Wars movie in a theater alone.

Anyway, I’ll avoid writing too much about the film itself, to avoid spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen it (although, let’s be honest, the movie’s made $200+ million already, who’s left that hasn’t seen it?). I will say that I thouroughly enjoyed it. As a movie, I did think that it told a story better than the original Star Wars film (Empire and Jedi were better — but not too much better, surprisingly). It’s the most fun I’ve had watching a Star Wars film in the theater.

Way better than the last two pieces of garbage.

If you are looking for some spoilers mixed in with your review, I’d check out Kevin Smith’s blog for his two cents.
