I know this is one of my first wrestling related posts on here, so it’s going to sound quite strange that I actually think about this stuff. I’d risk saying this post was off-topic, but — I don’t really have a topic, do I?

I am still in shock at the stunt WWE pulled tonight on Monday Night Raw. Teasing the fans with the return of Matt Hardy (which, to my knowledge, isn’t anywhere in the cards) was just wrong — especially when it was tastelessly used in a professional wrestling storyline that mimics the depressing turn of events that Hardy has suffered through for the past six months. Although I’ve been reading on boards across the internet that “WWE has buried Matt Hardy” and that this angle is “killing him,” I really feel as if it’s making him stronger. If anything, Vince McMahon’s organization is making itself look bad with its ill-advised decision to use Matt’s personal life relationships with Lita and Edge as a way to sell more tickets, especially after releasing the victim in question. WWE using “Live For the Moment” (Matt’s theme song) on tonight’s Raw only served to remind the fans that Matt Hardy is the one we’re all pulling for in this situation, and made Edge and Lita look a little bit more like the trash we all suspect they are.

I’m done being a dork now.

So, it’s been a week, and still no job… which I guess shouldn’t be as surprising as it is. I’m a little upset that the guy from Barnie’s Coffee in the mall hasn’t called (which he said he would do on Friday), but — yet again — I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I just picked up (and filled out) an application to Friendly’s in New Jersey. I’m hoping something like that comes through.

Having no job is upsetting enough — because it keeps me farther away from owning a place to stay for the new school year and keeps me from ever visiting England — but it’s getting worse, because Craig is getting a shitload of money in the mail for graduation. I’m jealous, but — I got mine, and I pissed it away. It’s my own fault.

Speaking of Craig, the whole family is headed out to Vermont tomorrow to check out Johnson State College… which means I have to get to bed early. This is killing me, because Raw is on Monday nights. Then again, I mean, I went weeks without it at school, one more day isn’t going to kill me.

Still baffled about how eating right and exercising leads to gaining three pounds in a week.

I’m currently reading through America: The Book (before I hit up the Python book), and cracking up. I’ve skimmed through it before, but this is the first time I’m giving it a good read. Excellent stuff. Highly recommended, thus far.
