I finally got to see Batman Begins tonight.

I can not believe I’ve waited this long.

I’ve got to be getting to sleep right about now, so I’m going to make this “review” a short one.

The movie was just simply amazing — it completely blows any of the other four (especially the Joel Schumacher-helmed Batman & Robin… which I consider to be among the worst films ever made) out of the water. Christopher Nolan really knocked this one out of the park — using some of the crazy, intricated filmmaking that made Memento so popular in a superhero movie… and for that, I thank him. This movie never treats Batman fans as unintelligent, and delivers a truly smart story full of plot twists that you must enjoy if you’ve still got a pulse.

Acting-wise… Christian Bale is hands-down my favorite Batman.

I’ve got to say… after Gary Oldman’s portrayal of Sirius Black in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban left me a bit upset, I wasn’t sure how his (soon-to-be) Commissioner Gordon would be — but he delivered, and big time.

Also, I want to be Cillian Murphy. Talk about stealing the fucking show.
