WARNING: The following is a political commentary, which is something that I try to avoid as often as possible. It should be noted that I am registered as neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I am aware that these comments were made days ago, and to many, this post may seem to come at a completely random time… but I’m going to use the internet for its originally intended purpose — bitching about stuff. Additionally, I also recognize that my political opinions don’t really matter much in the eyes of our political system. Yay democracy!

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” - Kanye West

I don’t want to go off on a long political statement about how Kanye West’s racially motivated diatribe could potentially have affected the amount of money collected by NBC for the Hurricane victims (although, if I were, I’d have to concede that his comments might prevent me from donating even a dime), but I’d rather like to talk about the one solitary statement that he made during that program.

Those who missed it can re-read it at the top of this post as many times as you’d like.

To Kanye West, and all those who agree with this statement, I have somewhat of a rebuttal.

I believe you are wrong.

Look at Afghanistan. Look at Iraq. Look at America’s pathetically decaying economy.

I think it’s quite obvious that George Bush doesn’t care about anybody.
